What makes this experience special, according to Ana

For Ana Gehm, BluSpa Algarve Spa Therapist, Time With Mom/Dad BluSpa has a value that extends beyond the massage itself. It is an experience designed to create a wellbeing memory between a mother or father and their child in a calm, safe and caring environment where the child can discover the world of the spa gently and with support.

Recommended for anyone who…

  • Would like to share a wellbeing moment between a parent and child away from everyday routine.
  • Is looking for a safe and peaceful first spa experience adapted to children aged six and over.
  • Wants to give a special experience for occasions such as birthdays, Children’s Day or family celebrations.
  • Values quality time enjoyed calmly, with gentle touch and attention to each person’s comfort.

Ana Gehm’s perspective

“Time With Mom/Dad is a particularly special experience because it is often the child’s first contact with a spa. Everything must therefore be guided with serenity, simplicity and great care.

Before beginning, I like to understand how the child feels. Some arrive feeling curious, others are shyer, while some need to understand what will happen before they can relax. The presence of their mother or father helps greatly because it creates security and turns the occasion into a shared experience rather than simply a treatment.

The massage uses gentle, flowing movements that are always adapted to each person’s age, comfort and response. The aim is not to create an intense experience but a peaceful moment in which a parent and child can slow down side by side.

For me, the most beautiful detail of this ritual is the connection it creates. There is a different kind of silence when two members of the same family experience the same care within the same space. It is a simple pause, but it can remain in the child’s memory as a first experience of calm, presence and wellbeing.

The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, respected and at ease. When this happens, the experience becomes more than a massage: it becomes genuine quality time.”
